Position Overview
ATC Healthcare is seeking experienced Telemetry Registered Nurses (RNs) for per diem opportunities within Sentara Health facilities. This role offers flexible scheduling while providing high-quality patient care in fast-paced telemetry units. Ideal candidates are clinically strong, adaptable, and thrive in dynamic acute care environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition, including emergency situations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-care instructions
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific)
- Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry experience in an acute care setting
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to different unit environments
Schedule & Assignment Details
- Per diem / PRN shifts (day, night, and weekend availability may vary)
