Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients with a wide range of conditions from non-critical to life-threatening
- Rapidly assess, triage and stabilize patients while coordinating with the emergency team
- Deliver trauma, cardiac and pediatric emergency interventions according to established protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, mental health staff and ancillary departments for comprehensive patient care
- Document patient status, interventions and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record
- Educate patients and families about care plans and follow-up needs in a compassionate manner
- Maintain required certifications and participate in departmental training and quality improvement activities
- Contribute to a safe, efficient and respectful ED environment for patients and colleagues
