Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a combined adult and pediatric emergency department setting across all care zones
- Manage a mixed patient population including STEMI, stroke, sepsis, sprains, sutures, and high-acuity presentations
- Administer and monitor IV drips including routine vasopressors, insulin, and sedation medications
- Care for pediatric patients integrated throughout all ED zones without a dedicated separate pediatric area
- Maintain safe patient ratios, typically 4:1, with flexibility during peak census periods
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience
- Demonstrated experience with both adult and pediatric emergency patients
- Ability to manage high-acuity patients and administer complex medication drips
Preferred Experience / Skills
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred
- Experience in a combined adult/pediatric ED environment without a separate pediatric unit
