Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a busy community Adult and Pediatric Emergency Department
- Manage a patient assignment within a 27-bed Emergency Department, typically at a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Care for a wide variety of patient presentations including stroke center cases across all acuity levels
- Fulfill weekend shift requirements (approximately 5–6 weekend shifts per scheduling period)
- Observe holiday coverage requirements including one major and one minor holiday
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (required)
- ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (required)
- PALS certification from the American Heart Association (required)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a community-based Emergency Department setting
- Comfort working with both adult and pediatric emergency populations
- Experience in a stroke center environment
