Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Americus, GA

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Every other weekend required | Rotating holidays

• Provide direct patient care in a 12-bed Emergency Department including 2 trauma bays, a fast track clinic area (ESI 4–5), and 1 seclusion room serving approximately 70 patients per day
• Manage a patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics, including minor walk-in cases, trauma stabilization, and pediatric transfers
• Perform lab draws, IV insertions, and patient assessments using Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including ED physicians, mid-level providers, paramedics, ER techs, nurse externs, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy
• Maintain a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio and respond to trauma activations and codes as needed
• Operate and monitor patients on ventilators as required within the emergency setting

• Active RN license valid in the state of Georgia
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• At least 1 prior travel nursing contract completed
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility

• Experience with ventilator management in an emergency or critical care setting
• Familiarity with trauma stabilization protocols and air transport coordination
• Experience caring for a broad patient population including pediatric and geriatric patients

• Work in a dynamic, full-service Emergency Department supported by 24/7 respiratory therapy, an IV team, and a collaborative care team including paramedics and nurse externs
• Gain diverse clinical experience managing a wide range of acuity levels in a community-based emergency setting
