Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of 4:1 for medical patients and up to 7:1 for behavioral health holds
- Utilize AIDET communication framework, maintain patient experience standards, and keep patient boards updated with current information throughout each visit
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Cerner electronic health records
- Operate unit equipment including Baxter pumps and GE monitors in a fast-paced trauma environment
- Demonstrate flexibility to float to all sections within the Emergency Department as needed
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including techs in cardiac monitoring, internal processing, triage, and unit clerks across all shifts
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
- Experience in a Level II Trauma Center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits)
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date; ENPC required within 90 days of hire
- Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
- Ability to work all areas of the Emergency Department with scheduling flexibility to meet departmental needs
Preferred Experience / Skills- Previous experience working within an HCA-affiliated facility
- Familiarity with Cerner documentation systems
- Experience serving diverse, multicultural patient populations
