    Travel RN – Emergency Department

    Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Every Other Weekend Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 for behavioral holds
    • Utilize Cerner documentation system to maintain accurate and timely patient records throughout each visit, including updating patient boards
    • Collaborate with techs, cardiac monitoring unit staff, triage personnel, and unit clerks across all sections of the ED
    • Operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors in accordance with unit protocols
    • Deliver patient-centered care using AIDET communication standards and respectful behavior practices
    • Float to all sections within the Emergency Department as needed to meet departmental staffing requirements
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least 1 year of experience in an Emergency Department setting
    • Experience in a Level II Trauma Center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits)
    • Active ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date
    • ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
    • Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
    • Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department, including scheduling that meets departmental needs
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Previous experience in an HCA-affiliated facility
    • Experience working in a multicultural, high-acuity emergency environment
    • Familiarity with Cerner electronic health record system
