Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (1500–0300) | 3×12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting
• Assess, triage, and monitor patients presenting with acute and emergent conditions
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and established protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and facilitate appropriate disposition
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record
• Perform NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) assessments as clinically indicated

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Georgia or a valid Compact State license
• Minimum 18 months of clinical nursing experience
• AHA BLS certification required
• AHA ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an Emergency Room or high-acuity clinical environment
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems used in acute care settings
• Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills in a high-volume environment
