Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (5:00 PM – 5:00 AM, Schedule Varies)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients across varying acuity levels
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely and effective patient outcomes
• Document patient information and care accurately using Cerner electronic health record system
• Adhere to holiday coverage requirements, including working 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• AHA BLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health record system
• Experience managing high-acuity and diverse emergency patient populations
