Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Augusta, Georgia

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Full-Time | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care in a 30-bed Emergency Department with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform IV starts, EKGs, and support trauma, cardiac, and stroke patient presentations
• Conduct NIHSS assessments and document care using Meditech EMR
• Operate unit equipment including Pyxis, GE Monitors, Zoll defibrillators, Welch Allyn, and Dynamap vital signs machines
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Charge RNs, Paramedics, PCTs, and Nurse Educators
• Participate in self-scheduling, including a minimum of four weekend shifts per month, two of which must be consecutive weekend days

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in NIHSS assessment
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current PALS certification

• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification

• Work in a high-acuity Emergency Department recognized for the shortest wait times in the Augusta area, within a facility that includes a nationally renowned burn center and comprehensive specialty services
• Experience Augusta's vibrant culture, including the historic Riverwalk, thriving downtown dining and nightlife, and the world-famous Masters golf tournament held annually each April
