Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Contract / Travel)
Location
Austin, Texas
Schedule / Job Type
Contract (13-Week Travel Assignment) | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Rotating Weekends | No Call
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
- Perform and assist with procedures including lumbar punctures, intubations, TNK administration, laceration repair, suture removal, and splinting
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including CNCs, Medics, and PCTs across day, mid, and night shift operations
- Anticipate and respond to patient and department needs in a high-volume ED environment with 32+ beds
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- TNCC certification required by start date
- ENPC certification required by start date
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Greater than 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Experience working as a travel RN in a high-acuity ED setting
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR
