Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Epic)

Contract | Nights | 36–48 hours per week (3x12s) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients in accordance with established standards of care and the nursing process
  • Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff within the Emergency Room setting
  • Coordinate patient care with other clinical disciplines using critical thinking and independent professional judgment
  • Utilize Epic EMR for accurate and timely clinical documentation throughout each shift
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in a fast-paced emergency environment
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
  • Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months is required; Cerner experience within the last 5 years is also required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per policy
  • AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification
  • AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS certification
  • Documented work history must include the charting system(s) used; if multiple EMR systems are listed for a single position, dates clarifying usage of each system must be provided
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Prior experience in an acute care facility setting
