Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-Hour Shifts | Night Shift | Every Other to Every Third Weekend | No Call Requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Implement the nursing process — including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and documentation — to address actual or potential health problems
• Perform dependent, interdependent, and independent nursing functions within the continuum of care
• Provide emergency nursing care within a 15-bed ED that includes 4 fast track rooms and 1 triage area
• Utilize electronic health record and medication dispensing systems; training provided during orientation
• Float to Medical-Surgical unit as needed
• Badge in and out at the facility for all shifts; wear Navy Blue scrubs per facility policy

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
• Experience in an ED with annual visit volume of 28,000 or higher
• Active MN State RN License at time of submission
• BLS – American Heart Association
• ACLS – American Heart Association
• PALS – American Heart Association
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Trauma Level III or higher emergency department experience
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records and automated medication dispensing systems
