Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Adult Emergency Department serving 350–440 patients per day across up to 120 treatment areas
• Float as needed to Psychiatric ED and Pediatric ED (caring for patients age 15+ unless prior pediatric experience is documented)
• Independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips, including identification of heart blocks; must pass a Telemetry Test (85% or higher) on Day 1
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:4–5 patients depending on acuity
• Maintain compliance with all required certifications and facility protocols throughout the duration of the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license valid in Massachusetts
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent Level I or Level II ED experience, OR 2+ years of recent Level III/IV ED experience
• Must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks
• Active/unexpired BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications required
• Candidates residing less than 50 miles from the facility will be considered at a local rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC electronic health records
• Previous travel nursing assignments
• Critical care experience
• Prior pediatric emergency experience (relevant for floating to Pediatric ED)
