    Job Title

    Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

    Location

    Brownsville, Texas

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform triage assessment and prioritization of patients based on ESI guidelines in a 22-bed Emergency Department
    • Provide direct care for stroke, STEMI, sepsis, trauma, and behavioral health patients with a 4:1 patient ratio
    • Perform procedures including IV insertion, medication administration, EKGs, splinting, wound care, and moderate sedation
    • Assist with intubation, rapid sequence intubation, CPR, and code response
    • Coordinate transport preparation for patients requiring higher levels of care
    • Maintain accurate documentation and reassessment in a fast-paced environment using Meditech EMR; adhere to isolation and infection control protocols
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 5 years of recent Emergency Department experience in a high-acuity setting
    • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
    • TNCC, ENPC, and CPI certifications required
    • Strong triage and critical thinking skills
    • Experience with trauma and cardiac alert care, including STEMI, stroke, and sepsis patients
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with Meditech documentation system
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish
    • Team-oriented, punctual, and adaptable to a fast-paced emergency environment
