Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (Travel)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Floating and call required

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide shift-level accountability for patient care in a Level 3 Trauma Emergency Department utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies
  • Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively to the care team
  • Administer medications and monitor for side effects with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff, and provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel
  • Accurately document patient care activities and maintain strong organizational practices
  • Adhere to safety standards, infection control protocols, and quality improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in good standing
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
  • Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications required
  • Ability to comply with New Mexico state fingerprinting requirements (note: fingerprint processing may take several weeks; submitting agency must be registered with the state of New Mexico)
  • Proficiency with EMR systems; experience with MedHost (EDIS) a plus
  • Availability to float and fulfill call requirements (must be available at least 2 hours prior to shift start)
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification preferred
  • Prior travel nursing experience in an emergency department setting
