Provide direct patient care in a Level 3 Trauma Emergency Department utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively to the care team
Administer medications and monitor for side effects, maintaining accurate and detailed documentation of patient care
Demonstrate critical thinking and clinical judgment in the anticipation and planning of safe patient care delivery
Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff, providing direction and supervision as needed
Adhere to safety standards, infection control protocols, and quality improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Proficiency with EMR systems; experience with MedHost (EDIS) a plus
Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travel assignments
