Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (Travel)

Contract | Travel | Days | 6:30 AM – 6:00 PM | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide shift-level accountability for patient care in a Level 3 Trauma Emergency Department, maintaining a 4:1 patient ratio
  • Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures to deliver safe, effective patient care
  • Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively to the care team
  • Administer medications accurately and monitor patients for side effects and adverse reactions
  • Document patient care with strong attention to detail, adhering to safety standards, infection control protocols, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Float within the department as required and delegate patient care priorities commensurate with available staff education and experience
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in good standing
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
  • Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, ENPC, and TNCC certifications required
  • Fingerprinting required for all travelers working in New Mexico
  • Proficiency with EMR systems; experience with MedHost (EDIS) a plus
  • Ability to adhere to call-out requirements (minimum 2 hours prior to shift start)
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification preferred
  • Prior travel nursing experience in an emergency or trauma setting
