Provide shift-level accountability for patient care in the Emergency Department utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively to the care team
Administer medications proficiently and monitor for side effects
Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care at a 4:1 patient ratio
Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff and provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel
Maintain documentation accuracy with strong organizational skills and attention to detail, adhering to safety standards, infection control protocols, and quality improvement initiatives; EMR: MedHost (EDIS)
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications required
Willingness and ability to float within scope and experience, including to the ICU as needed
