Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Carlsbad, New Mexico

Contract (Travel) | 13 Weeks | Days, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care in a Level 3 Trauma Emergency Department utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively to the care team
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects, maintaining accurate and detailed documentation of patient care
• Demonstrate critical thinking and clinical judgment in the anticipation and planning of safe patient care delivery
• Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff, providing direction and supervision as needed
• Adhere to safety standards, infection control protocols, and quality improvement initiatives

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• Proficiency with EMR systems; experience with MedHost (EDIS) a plus
• Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travel assignments

• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification preferred
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification preferred

• Opportunity to work in a Level 3 Trauma Emergency Department with a consistent 4:1 patient ratio in a supportive clinical environment
• 13-week travel contract with a projected start date available for immediate placement
