Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 4x12-Hour Shifts | Expected 36–48 hours/week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting, including patients across the age spectrum with some pediatric experience expected
• Adapt to a variable schedule based on staffing needs; weekends are required and block scheduling is not available
• Must be available to work 2 out of 3 winter holidays during the contract period
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed per facility policy
• Maintain compliance with all required certifications including ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC (TNCC must be in hand prior to start date)
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license or pending (must be in hand by the Wednesday before the start date)
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS required; TNCC required (may submit with TNCC pending, but must have prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required
• At least 1 year of Level 1 Trauma Center experience, or at least 2 years of Level 2 Trauma Center experience, including some pediatric experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursys verification required at time of submission
• Maximum of 40 hours of requested time off (RTO) per 13-week contract; all RTO must be disclosed at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred
• Experience in a high-volume or academic medical center emergency department
• Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse patient population including pediatric cases
