Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36–48 hours per week | Weekends required | Every other holiday required | Schedule may vary based on staffing needs; block scheduling cannot be guaranteed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population, including pediatric patients, in a fast-paced ER environment
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with scope of practice and facility protocols
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed based on staffing demands
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Adhere to all facility compliance policies, including orientation modules completed during onboarding

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
• TNCC required (may submit with TNCC pending, but must be obtained before start date)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required; must include at least 1 year of Level 1 or 2 years of Level 2 ER experience, including some pediatric experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursys verification required at time of submission
• This unit observes a 50-mile radius rule; local candidates are not eligible for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred
• Experience in a high-acuity or trauma-level emergency department setting
• Comfort managing a mixed adult and pediatric patient population
