Contract | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Rotating Weekends | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department, ensuring optimal patient care and flow
- Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust nursing care processes as indicated to meet clinical needs
- Address psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of patient care while meeting the communication needs of patients and families
- Communicate with ED physicians regarding changes in patient status, symptomatology, and diagnostic study results
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment
- Consult with specialists and ancillary departments as required to support comprehensive patient care
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Illinois
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification preferred
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS) certification preferred
