Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a 30-bed Emergency Department (plus 8 hall beds) with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
  • Perform and assist with procedures including IV placement, blood draws, cardiac monitoring, moderate sedation, and NIH stroke scale assessments
  • Operate and monitor equipment including Baxter IV pumps, GE monitors, ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, Belmont Rapid Infusers, and portable EKG machines
  • Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, paramedics, and LVNs across day shift operations
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Texas or compact state eligibility
  • Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Current PALS certification
  • Current TNCC certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification
  • Experience with TNK administration and moderate sedation protocols
  • Strong team-player mentality with demonstrated compassion and empathy in a fast-paced emergency setting
