Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a 30-bed Emergency Department (plus 8 hall beds) with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Perform and assist with procedures including IV placement, blood draws, cardiac monitoring, moderate sedation, and NIH stroke scale assessments
- Operate and monitor equipment including Baxter IV pumps, GE monitors, ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, Belmont Rapid Infusers, and portable EKG machines
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, paramedics, and LVNs across day shift operations
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Texas or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current PALS certification
- Current TNCC certification
Preferred Experience / Skills- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification
- Experience with TNK administration and moderate sedation protocols
- Strong team-player mentality with demonstrated compassion and empathy in a fast-paced emergency setting
