Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting across all age ranges, from infant to geriatric
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:4, with the potential for up to 1:5 with lower acuity patients
- Assess, monitor, and treat patients presenting with complex, multi-system diagnoses across a broad range of emergency conditions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver timely and effective emergency interventions
- Float within the emergency department specialty and to sister ED facilities as needed based on departmental staffing requirements
Required Qualifications- Active Maryland RN state license or active Compact RN license at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience required
- Current BLS certification – American Heart Association only
- Current ACLS certification – American Heart Association only
- Current PALS certification – American Heart Association only
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required; CPI certification to be completed during onboarding
Preferred Experience / Skills- First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply
- Experience managing complex, multi-system diagnoses in a high-acuity emergency setting
- Comfort with floating within scope to other emergency department locations as needed with no restrictions
