Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Room environment with an average daily census of 105 and approximately 135 visits per day
• Deliver nursing care across a 20-room, 26-bed emergency department
• Float to the Observation Unit to cover ER hold patients as needed
• Work 3 out of every 6 weekends as part of the standard schedule
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Maintain valid California RN licensure throughout the duration of the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered California RN license (compact license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses are not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must be willing to float to sister facilities nearby the contracted location; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
• No background check hits or Nursys discrepancies
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start (Charge RNs and Leads accepted)
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at the standard rate (candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a reduced rate)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-census, fast-paced emergency department setting
• Familiarity with observation unit or ER hold patient care
• Strong adaptability and willingness to support staffing needs across multiple units
