Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma in Eureka, CA

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Room environment with an average daily census of 105 and approximately 135 visits per day
• Deliver nursing care across a department with 20 rooms and 26 beds
• Float to the Observation Unit to cover ER hold patients as needed
• Meet weekend requirements, expected to work 3 out of every 6 weekends
• Commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Complete required modules prior to start and during orientation; module time is non-billable and factored into overall hours

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license required (pending license not accepted; compact license must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Must submit 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years (Charge RNs or Leads accepted)
• Must commit to all RTO and scheduling requests being submitted upfront at time of submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
• RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days total
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard traveler (locals accepted under a separate rate structure)
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-census, fast-paced emergency department
• Familiarity with observation unit or ER hold patient care
• Flexibility to float between sister facilities within the health system as needed
