Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend and Holiday Required
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a Level 3 Trauma Center Emergency Department averaging approximately 25 patients per day
Manage a patient assignment at a 1:4–5 nurse-to-patient ratio based on acuity, caring for patients presenting with conditions such as abdominal pain, diabetes, NSTEMI, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, and hypertension
Independently read and interpret telemetry strips without the support of a monitor technician
Perform and document Point of Care lab testing following facility training
Collaborate with support staff including techs, unit secretaries, and Respiratory Therapy (available 24/7) to coordinate patient care
Float to other Emergency Departments within the regional zone as needed
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Colorado
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Current PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
Ability to read and interpret telemetry independently
Must be available and present in-state for the full week of facility orientation
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience working in a fast-paced Emergency Department or trauma setting
Familiarity with standard emergency department medications and drip protocols
Experience in a mixed-acuity ER environment managing both medical and trauma patients
