Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend and Holiday Required

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a Level 3 Trauma Center Emergency Department averaging approximately 25 patients per day
  • Manage a patient assignment at a 1:4–5 nurse-to-patient ratio based on acuity, caring for patients presenting with conditions such as abdominal pain, diabetes, NSTEMI, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, and hypertension
  • Independently read and interpret telemetry strips without the support of a monitor technician
  • Perform and document Point of Care lab testing following facility training
  • Collaborate with support staff including techs, unit secretaries, and Respiratory Therapy (available 24/7) to coordinate patient care
  • Float to other Emergency Departments within the regional zone as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Colorado
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Current PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
  • Ability to read and interpret telemetry independently
  • Must be available and present in-state for the full week of facility orientation
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced Emergency Department or trauma setting
  • Familiarity with standard emergency department medications and drip protocols
  • Experience in a mixed-acuity ER environment managing both medical and trauma patients
