Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel Contract)

Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in an 11-bed Emergency Department with a 1:2–3 patient ratio on the night shift
- Perform and assist with procedures including STEMI protocol, stroke protocol, conscious sedation, chest tubes, codes, intubation, laceration repair, antivenom infusion, and orthopedic splinting
- Operate unit equipment including Philips monitors, Hill-Rom beds, Omnicell, GE EKG machine, Lifepak 20e defibrillator, Lucas device, and Verathon bladder scanner
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech Expanse EMR
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses and patient care technicians to ensure safe, efficient patient throughput
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Department experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications (TNCC is required; candidates without it will not be considered)
- Demonstrated ability to perform high-acuity ED procedures and manage emergency protocols
Preferred Experience / Skills- Previous experience in a charge nurse role, demonstrating the ability to multitask and think independently
- Friendly, compassionate, flexible, and collaborative personality with strong critical thinking skills and a sense of urgency
