Key Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff
- Coordinate patient care with other disciplines utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment
- Provide triage, treatment, and support for trauma and emergency patients of all ages in an acute care setting
- Administer moderate sedation in accordance with department protocols and training requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS or HS-BLS or RQI BLS) certification from an approved vendor
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- AHA-PALS certification
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification and NCI and Moderate Sedation Training required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Prior experience in an acute care facility setting
