Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)

Hartford, CT
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 36 hours per week | Every other weekend and holiday rotation
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patients presenting with acute and critical conditions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver timely and effective emergency care
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and established protocols
- Document patient assessments, care provided, and outcomes accurately in the medical record
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) required
- Level I or Level II trauma center experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with high-acuity trauma patient populations
- Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills in emergency care environments
