    Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)

    Hartford, CT

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days | 36 hours per week | Every other weekend and holiday rotation

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting
    • Assess, triage, and prioritize patients presenting with acute and critical conditions
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver timely and effective emergency care
    • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and established protocols
    • Document patient assessments, care provided, and outcomes accurately in the medical record
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
    • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required
    • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) required
    • Level I or Level II trauma center experience required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with high-acuity trauma patient populations
    • Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills in emergency care environments
