    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Med/Surg & Emergency Room

    Location

    Hebron, NE | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Full-Time | 36 hours/week | Days or Nights

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform comprehensive nursing care including observing and recording signs and symptoms, administering sterile treatments, and assisting with patient rehabilitation according to medical and nursing plans
    • Prepare, administer, and document oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous medications using barcode scanning within an electronic health system; monitor and discontinue IV lines as appropriate
    • Provide nursing care across multiple units including Emergency Room, Med/Surg, Labor/Delivery/Recovery, and Nursery, assuming responsibility for total patient care when assigned
    • Observe and provide care to obstetrical patients through labor, delivery, and post-partum stages, as well as newborn care, following demonstration of competence
    • Participate in nursing care planning, quality assurance programs, in-service education, committee work, and staff orientation and training
    • Observe, record, and report patient conditions to appropriate personnel; maintain accurate and complete patient records and transcribe physician orders
    Required Qualifications
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current, valid state Registered Nurse license
    • Current CPR certification required
    • Current ACLS certification required
    • Current TNCC certification required
    • Current NRP certification required
    • Current STABLE certification required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in a combined Med/Surg and Emergency Room setting
    • Familiarity with obstetrical and newborn patient care
    • Proficiency with electronic health record systems including barcode medication administration
    • Strong communication skills and ability to provide leadership in medical situations in the absence of a physician
