Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Shifts | Variable 8- or 12-hour shifts, scheduled 80 hours per 2-week period; includes one on-call shift per roster with at least one weekend off per roster

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care in a fast-paced ER environment, working independently and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
• Participate in Stroke, STEMI, and Trauma activations in accordance with established protocols
• Operate unit equipment including Meditech EMR, LifePak Defibrillators, Braun IV pumps, Philips Monitoring Systems, and Motorola Radio Systems
• Adhere to core measures and National Patient Safety Goals in all aspects of patient care
• Apply AIDET communication framework and Press Ganey patient service standards
• Float to other units or departments as determined by nursing administration, based on demonstrated clinical abilities

Required Qualifications

• Active State of Hawaii RN license required by assignment start date
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Proficient IV insertion and management skills
• Current ACLS, PALS, TNCC, BLS, and NIHSS certifications (all mandatory)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NRP certification preferred
• NCI and Procedural Sedation certifications are requested but not mandatory
