Key Responsibilities of the ED Registered Nurse
  • Provide high-quality emergency care to patients in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
  • Perform rapid patient assessments and triage based on acuity
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency treatments as required
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to critical changes
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver timely and effective care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
Requirements of the ED Registered Nurse
  • Active Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in an Emergency Department setting
  • Strong critical thinking and ability to perform in high-pressure environments
