Travel RN – Emergency Room (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every other weekend required, at least 1 Friday and 1 Monday per 4-week schedule | No on-call required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 22-bed Emergency Room with a patient ratio of 1:4
• Perform and assist with procedures including cardioversion, central line placements, cardiac arrests, IV insertions, EKGs, pacemaker interrogation, Code Stroke protocol, Code Sepsis protocol, and suture/abscess setup
• Utilize Meditech (EDM) electronic medical records system for documentation and patient management
• Operate unit equipment including Philips and GE monitors and Level 1 Rapid Infuser
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary night shift team including charge nurses, technicians, and support staff
• Float to a freestanding emergency department location as needed (approximately 15 minutes away)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Strong IV skills in both adult and pediatric populations
• Excellent communication skills
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI certifications

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Trauma experience and TNCC certification
• Prior experience with Meditech EMR
