Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with 40+ beds and a 4:1 patient ratio (3 rooms and 1 hall bed during peak volume)
• Perform IV starts and phlebotomy as part of routine patient assessment and treatment
• Perform cardiac monitoring and interpretation using unit equipment including cardiac monitors, EKGs, and Lifepak devices
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including team leads, advanced paramedics, and support staff across day shift operations
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Maintain composure and adaptability in a fast-paced, high-pressure emergency care environment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Missouri or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, and CPI
• Strong adaptability and ability to function effectively as a team player in a high-acuity setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a high-pressure or high-volume emergency or acute care environment
• Background in a clinical role such as RN, Paramedic, or Emergency Department Technician
• Outgoing, positive demeanor with the ability to remain composed under pressure
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
