Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a 14-bed Emergency Department with 2 trauma bays, treating an average of 40–60 patients per day
- Assess, triage, and manage a variable patient population including traumas, MVAs, strokes, and STEMIs with send-out protocols for advanced stroke and STEMI cases (Trauma Level IV facility)
- Administer and monitor variable IV drips and respond to critical patient needs in collaboration with ED physicians and mid-level providers available 24/7
- Perform triage duties in designated triage rooms following review and understanding of facility policies and procedures
- Maintain central cardiac monitoring and interpret telemetry strips independently, as no monitor technician is assigned to the unit
- Float to inpatient areas as needed to provide helping-hands support
Required Qualifications- Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification
- Current PALS certification
- Current TNCC certification
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working in a rural or community-based Emergency Department setting
- Familiarity with variable patient acuity including agricultural and hunting-related injuries
- Comfort with rotating shift start times and variable scheduling requirements
