Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 3x12 Hours (19:00–07:30) | 36/48 Hour Weekly Option | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting with an average daily census of 130 patients across 47 beds
  • Manage a patient population spanning all age ranges, from infant to geriatric, with complex and varied diagnoses
  • Maintain a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio while delivering timely, high-quality emergency nursing care
  • Float within the Emergency Department specialty as required
  • Work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license in Maryland or a valid Compact RN license at time of submission
  • Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience (2 years preferred)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
  • Current PALS certification (American Heart Association only)
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification
  • CPI certification (Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor)
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • 2 or more years of Emergency Room experience in a high-volume, complex ED environment
  • Prior travel nursing experience, though strong first-time travelers with solid ER backgrounds will be considered
  • Comfort with floating within specialty scope and adapting to varied scheduling needs
