Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Lansing, MI

Contract | Evening Shift (3x12 Hours, 1:00 PM – 1:30 AM) | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Emergency Room setting within a Level I Trauma Center, Stroke Center, and Heart Center
• Manage and interpret dysrhythmias and respond appropriately to acute and critical patient presentations
• Administer continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation as required
• Perform triage and manage a high patient volume, with ratios typically ranging from 1:5–6 and potentially higher during peak periods or holidays
• Float to Pediatric Emergency Department as needed
• Document patient care accurately using electronic medical records

• Active Michigan RN license (compact license not accepted; must be active by start date)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS (AHA preferred), PALS, TNCC, and NIH certifications required (certifications may not be pending at contract start)
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Availability to work 3 weekends (Friday–Sunday) per 4-week schedule

• ENPC certification preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred (training provided during orientation)
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration
• Triage experience in a high-volume emergency setting
