Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care in a Level I Trauma Center environment, including Stroke Center, Heart Center, and Pediatric Emergency Department
• Manage patient ratios that are currently running 1:5–6, with the potential to reach up to 1:8 during high-volume periods and holidays
• Perform interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Float to Pediatric Emergency as needed
• Complete pre-start, self-reported modules (approximately 5 hours, non-billable) prior to contract start date
• Adhere to weekend scheduling expectations: expected to work 3 weekends (Friday–Sunday) per 4-week schedule, with possible assignment of 1, 2, or all 3 days of each weekend

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN License by start date (compact license not accepted; if license is pending, estimated active date must be provided at time of submission)
• ACLS certification required (AHA preferred)
• BLS/BCLS certification required (AHA preferred)
• PALS certification required
• TNCC certification required
• NIH certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• All certifications must be active by contract start date — certifications may not be pending beyond the start date
• Acknowledgment of and willingness to work under high patient ratios (1:5–6, up to 1:8)
• Willingness to work 3 weekends (Friday–Sunday) per 4-week schedule
• All time-off requests must be submitted at time of submission; no additional RTO will be approved after submittal. Note: No RTO is available for 10/31 or 12/18–12/28

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ENPC certification preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred (training provided during orientation if needed)
• Continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration experience
• Triage experience
