Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process across all areas of the emergency department unit
• Assess patients upon admission and continuously throughout their stay, monitoring and documenting clinical status and responses
• Administer IV medications, IV therapy, and blood products as clinically indicated
• Provide patient and family education related to diagnosis, treatment, and care plans
• Document nursing care actions, clinical observations, teaching, and patient responses accurately and thoroughly
• Serve in charge nurse and preceptor roles as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with no hits or actions on license or background
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting
• Minimum of 1 year of critical care nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume emergency department with a dedicated chest pain center
• Prior experience in charge nurse or preceptor roles within an ED environment
