Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process across all areas of the Emergency Department unit
• Assess patients upon admission and continuously throughout their stay
• Administer IV medications, IV therapy, and blood products as clinically indicated
• Provide patient and family education related to care, treatment, and discharge planning
• Document nursing care actions, clinical observations, patient teaching, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
• Serve in charge nurse and preceptor roles as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with no hits or actions on license or background
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting
• At least 1 year of critical care nursing experience
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current PALS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience functioning in a charge nurse or leadership capacity within an ED environment
• Experience precepting or mentoring new nursing staff in a clinical setting
