Travel RN – Emergency Department

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | 12-Hour Shifts (12:00 PM – 12:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, 27-bed Emergency Department with a 30% admit rate and 20% ESI 2 patient volume
  • Perform and assist with procedures consistent with a Level II Trauma ED, certified chest pain center, and thrombectomy-capable stroke center
  • Deliver safe and attentive care to psychiatric and at-risk patients, with a focus on patient safety monitoring
  • Administer and monitor procedural sedation using agents such as Propofol, Etomidate, and Ketamine
  • Apply alternative-to-opioids (ALTO) pain management therapies in alignment with unit protocols
  • Engage proactively with patients and families to anticipate care needs and provide exceptional customer service
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of current acute care Emergency Department experience in a hospital setting
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Current NIH Stroke Scale certification
  • Current PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) designation
  • Experience with Meditech EMR (DOS platform)
  • Prior experience in a high-volume Emergency Department environment
