Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned Emergency Department patients.
Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
Document patient history, symptoms, medications administered, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and connect with appropriate resources.
Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to effectively manage clinical situations.
Required Qualifications
Active RN license in the state of Texas or a compact state license.
Current BLS certification required (American Heart Association only).
Current ACLS certification required (American Heart Association only).
Current PALS certification required (American Heart Association only).
Current TNCC certification required.
Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Prior travel nursing experience in an Emergency Department setting.
