Key Responsibilities- Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs and establish a compassionate, supportive environment for patients and families
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team
- Apply clinical judgment and critical thinking to recognize, act upon, and report changes in patient condition
- Provide health teaching and counseling to promote, attain, and maintain optimum patient health
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in the patient medical record
- Supervise and delegate to licensed practical nurses and/or unlicensed assistive personnel, and serve as a patient advocate across the care team
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
- Prior experience in an emergency department setting
