Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a Level 3 trauma, stroke, and STEMI-certified emergency department with 11 beds plus a dedicated trauma bay
  • Triage patients using the ESI rating system, including lobby-based triage and overflow to infusion rooms as needed
  • Independently read and interpret telemetry monitoring using Philips equipment
  • Manage and administer critical care drips including nitroglycerin, levophed, insulin, and cardizem
  • Care for a diverse patient population including chest pain, DKA, sepsis, respiratory distress, trauma, and behavioral health presentations, with some pediatric patients
  • Perform lab draws off IV starts and coordinate with phlebotomy and ancillary staff including paramedics and CNAs
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN licensure
  • Minimum 1 year of emergency room experience
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC, and CPI certifications
  • Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry
  • Strong communication skills and ability to function effectively as part of a team
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience in a rural or community hospital setting
  • Familiarity with Epic EMR
  • Comfort working in a close-knit, collaborative team environment
