Provide direct patient care in a 17-bed Emergency Department serving primarily adult and geriatric populations with approximately 40 visits per day
Maintain patient ratios of 1:6 while delivering timely, high-quality emergency nursing care
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using MediTech EHR
Participate in call coverage to support daily volume and 24/7 department needs
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams across a regional health center offering a broad range of services including critical care, med/surg, OB, pediatrics, and more
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Iowa
Minimum 1–2 years of acute care experience, with at least 2 years preferred in an emergency department setting
Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
Current ACLS certification
Current TNCC certification
Ability to meet all onboarding requirements including state background check (criminal and child abuse portions), mandatory reporter certification (child and adult), 10-panel drug screening including opiates, and titers within the last 12 months (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB)
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior travel nursing experience
Experience in a similarly sized regional or community hospital emergency department
Familiarity with MediTech electronic health records system
