Contract | 6-Week Rapid Response | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Third Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 24-bed Emergency Department at a Level 2 Trauma Center with a 1:4 patient ratio
• Perform all procedures associated with a Level 2 Trauma Center, including trauma, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, and triage care
• Operate unit equipment including Level 1 fluid warmer, GE monitor system, Arctic Sun, Lifepak, and Alaris pumps
• Document patient care using the Meditech documentation system
• Adhere to patient experience standards including use of AIDET and whiteboards
• Follow mid-shift scheduling requirements; shifts may range as early as 10:00 AM–10:30 PM or as late as 1:00 PM–1:30 AM

Required Qualifications

• Current Kansas RN license
• ACLS certification required – must be included in submission packet
• BLS certification required – must be included in submission packet
• ENPC or PALS certification required – must be included in submission packet
• TNCC certification required – must be included in submission packet
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required – must be included in submission packet
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Emergency/Trauma RN in a Level 2 Trauma Center
• Must be available to start within 5–7 days of offer; no RTO or special scheduling requests will be accommodated

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) or TCRN (Trauma Certified Registered Nurse) certification preferred
• CPI certification preferred
• Experience with Meditech documentation systems
• Strong knowledge of trauma care, STEMI protocols, stroke care, sepsis management, and triage
