Travel RN – Emergency Department

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Midshift (3:00 PM – 3:00 AM) | Onsite | Alternate weekends required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 30-bed Emergency Department with patient ratios up to 1:5, acuity dependent
- Utilize advanced monitors, defibrillators, ultrasound, and EKG machines to assess and treat emergency patients
- Manage and respond to high-acuity cases including trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis protocols
- Perform and assist with procedures including thoracotomy, arterial lines, and massive transfusion protocol (MTP)
- Document patient care using Meditech EMR (transitioning to Meditech Expanse)
- Float to freestanding Emergency Department locations as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience
- Advanced critical thinking skills with extensive experience in trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis
- Required certifications: ENPC, TNCC, ACLS, PALS, BLS, and CPI with Trauma-Informed Care (TIC)
- Ability to work alternate weekends and adhere to dress code (royal blue scrubs)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with both adult and pediatric Emergency Department patient populations
- NRP and STABLE certifications
- Certifications aligned with HCA Nurse Contract and Pool requirements
