Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department serving patients ranging from newborns to the elderly across a wide spectrum of acuity levels
• Manage and titrate a variety of critical drips including vasopressors, cardiac medications, and antihypertensive agents
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening cardiac rhythms and initiate appropriate interventions
• Collaborate with ED physicians, charge nurses, ED techs, and respiratory therapists to deliver coordinated patient care
• Draw and manage lab specimens as needed; operate Philips monitoring equipment and interpret telemetry rhythms
• Adhere to department scheduling requirements including every-other-weekend rotation and holiday coverage as determined by department needs

• Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Current ENPC or PALS certification
• Current TNCC or TNS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of registered nursing experience
• Ability to pass a drug screening; must comply with a drug-free workplace policy

• At least one prior travel nursing assignment
• SANE RN experience
• Prior experience working in a teaching hospital environment with resident physicians

• Work in a dynamic Level 1 Trauma ED with 65 private beds, dedicated trauma bays, 24/7 house supervisor support, and a structured charge nurse model that allows travel nurses to focus on patient care
• No on-call requirement for travelers, with block scheduling options and the ability to submit time-off requests for consideration
